Omega Globemaster Co-Axial Observatory Annual Calendar
Omega replica launched the first Globemaster in 2015 – inspired by the Omega Constellation series from 1952.
The Constellation Globemaster Annual Calendar 2019 was subsequently released, and now in 2021, Omega has dropped three new versions with luxurious green, burgundy and red gold dials.
Each new Globemaster model features the same 41mm diameter case, fluted bezel and pie plate dial. And the same caliber 8922/8923 Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement (8923 with gold oscillating weight).
The cheapest of the three new Globemasters features a sunburst green dial, stainless steel case, and a hard metal (tungsten carbide) bezel on a green leather strap. Burgundy sunburst dial, stainless steel case and 18K Senda gold bezel, burgundy leather strap. Finally, there is the 18K Sedna Gold dial version with an 18K Sedna Gold case and black glossy leather strap.
Patek Philippe 5905/1A-001 Flyback Chronograph Strap Annual Calendar
Geneva-based manufacturer Patek Philippe has launched three complicated chronographs, each with more complicated functions. The brand presented the 5204R-011, a split-seconds chronograph with a perpetual calendar. Also, the 5930P-001, a chronograph with a world time function. However, in this article, we will introduce the Patek Philippe 5905/1A-001. This one offers a flyback chronograph with an annual calendar. It comes with a stainless steel case and bracelet, so it complements the platinum 5905P-001 and rose gold 5905R-001 references by adding more sporty alternatives.

With this watch, Patek Philippe presents the Ref. 5905 chronograph with a stainless steel case for the first time. Here the diameter is 42mm and the height is 14.13mm. The polished and satin finishes on the case and domed bezel are also preserved. The chronograph button is on the right, while the three correctors on the other side are responsible for setting the calendar. Meanwhile, the crown has only two positions: pressed for winding, and pulled for setting the time. While the 5905/1A-001 is considered a “sporty” replacement, it can only withstand water pressures up to 30 meters.
olive green dial
This version features an olive green dial with a sunburst pattern. On it, two main hands with Dauphine-style luminous coating indicate the hours and minutes. The hour markers are applied around the dial. The central chronograph hand also serves as the only second hand here. In addition, a 60-minute counter at 6 o’clock integrates a discreet day/night indicator. Movement inside Patek Philippe 5905/1A-001
The watch is equipped with the in-house movement CH 28-520 QA 24H, which offers a flyback chronograph and an annual calendar. The chronograph integrates both a column wheel and a vertical clutch, which allows the chronograph hand to function as a central seconds hand. The annual calendar adjusts whether a month is 30 days or 31 days, and only needs to be corrected once a year (March 1). The movement consists of a total of 402 individual parts and offers automatic winding, the rotor is made of 21 karat gold. Power autonomy is a minimum of 45 hours and a maximum of 55 hours. Last but not least, the sapphire crystal caseback allows you to see the gorgeous movement.
