Breitling PREMIER HERITAGE COLLECTION
Breitling inherited its long history of watchmaking innovation and launched three new timepieces with a difference: B09 Chronograph, B15 Duograph and B25 Datora.
Specifically, the Breitling Premier Heritage series pays tribute to the three generations of Breitling men whose innovation has made Breitling what it is today. Leon Breitling, his son Gaston and Leon’s grandson Willie.
“This tradition-inspired design combines fashionable modern styles, embodies Breitling’s most famous innovation, and revives Breitling’s tradition of inventing modern chronographs. This is indeed our revival of tradition,” Breitling’s timeless and elegant Said Georges Kern of the new series.
Like the original Premier watches released in the 1940s, the latest generation of Premier watches embodies Willy Breitling’s desire to bring elegance and charm to timepieces.
The Chronograph, Duograph and Datora in this series all use Arabic numerals, retro-style hands and a semi-shiny alligator strap with the same color stitching. Each timepiece is a COSC-certified chronometer watch, water-resistant to 100 meters.
The 40mm Premier Heritage chronograph is manually wound and powered by Breitling’s homemade B09 movement. It is available in two colors: the elegant and popular pistachio green with a stainless steel case, and an eternal silver dial with an 18k red gold case.
The Premier Heritage Duograph includes a well-designed split-second function that allows the wearer to measure two elapsed times at the same time with two overlapping chronograph hands.
The 42mm Premier Heritage Datora presents visible and complex functions. It has day, date and moon phase display, and is powered by the self-made movement B25.
All three models in the Premier Heritage series demonstrate Breitling’s proficiency in timing technology, as it has evolved through generations.
Introducing a pair of Breitling chronographs that embrace the old-school style-slightly different
You need two chronographs with such a distinctive personality.
When Breitling launched the Premier series in 1943, it quickly became the backbone of the brand. At the time, the series represented an evolution. Before 43 years, the brand was known for its practical precision instruments, namely military and aviation watches. The Premier series shifted its focus to aesthetics and design. This intersection of function and form is still crucial to the modern Premier lineup. Now, the brand has ushered in a new subset of the series——Premier Heritage Collection—inspired by the original multi-generational leadership of Breitling.
Premier Heritage launched three models for the first time, including the Premier Heritage B09 chronograph seen here. The series pays tribute to Leon Breitling’s son Gaston (he created one of the first wrist-worn chronographs with independent buttons), and from the Premier chronograph developed by Leon’s grandson Willie in the 1940s Take inspiration from the table.
With the Premier Heritage B09 chronograph, you have two typical chronographs, at least on paper. Each has a round 40mm case with a horizontal, two-register dial layout framed by a tachymeter scale. Everything is very clear, with Arabic numerals and Super-LumiNova on the hour and minute hands. Inside, you have the hand-wound Breitling calibre B09, which is based on the Breitling calibre 01.
From a functional point of view, Premier Heritage B09 Chronographs fully adhere to the foundation of Breitling, provide first-class precision and reliability, and carry out modern upgrades in all areas you expect. What you would not expect is a departure from the style of classic Breitling or even most chronographs.
There are two versions of the Premier Heritage B09 chronograph. The first one offers a standard stainless steel construction, but-this is a twist-it has an absolutely killer pistachio green dial. Yes, green is quickly becoming the new blue in the watch industry, but we don’t usually see such green. Breitling achieved a very stunning hue-not too mint, not too olive. You can easily turn up the color or dress it more neutrally. As we all know, green is my favorite accent in watches (I still can’t stop thinking about the forest-like Spring Drive GMT SBGE257, and I’ve always been a fan of Kermit), but man, man, the phrase “green jealousy” is elevated to one A whole new level.
The second version of the Premier Heritage B09 chronograph is also worth watching. At first glance, the traditional silver dial is neutral in nature, giving a softer aesthetic. But it is matched with an 18k red gold case and dial decoration, plus a semi-gloss alligator leather strap, which makes the look and feel several times higher than that of ordinary chronographs. There is no dressing or dressing up here; only the purest luxury.
This is not a sophisticated chronograph-it is a formal copy watches, which happens to have the added benefit of a chronograph function.
