Audemars Piguet-Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Camo

Audemars Piguet copy previewed the 2019 Royal Oak Offshore collection and previewed three camouflage Royal Oak Offshore automatic winding chronographs, which will be officially launched at the International Haute Horlogerie Salon (SIHH) in January 2019 .

Since the launch of the Royal Oak Offshore in 1993 (learn about the history of the Royal Oak here), Audemars Piguet has used many different materials and color configurations for sports models. These new 44mm chronographs continue the tradition, combining ceramic bezels, push-buttons and screw-fastened crowns, Méga-Tapisserie dials and sturdy rubber straps.

The blue (ref. 26400SO.OO.A035CA.01) and green (ref. 26400SO.OO.A055CA.01) models both use a stainless steel case, while the brown (ref. 26401RO.OO.A087CA.01) uses pink Watch case. Gold case.

All models are equipped with blue, green or brown ceramic frame respectively. The use of brown ceramics is the first of Audemars Piguet. Colored ceramics require a complicated research phase to find suitable pigments and a long and delicate manufacturing process. The result is a material much harder than steel that can withstand high temperatures and thermal shocks.

All models are equipped with a 3126/3840 automatic winding movement with a beating frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vph) and a power reserve of 50 hours.

The new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore automatic winding chronograph is water-resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. It matches the camouflage rubber strap and is equipped with a pure blue, khaki green or brown additional rubber strap depending on the model.
