The respected tattoo artist and designer Maxime Buchi once again sculpted his wrist in a blue limited edition.
During LVMH Watch Week in Dubai, Hublot launched the Big Bang Integral collection with an integrated bracelet, and the third iteration of the Big Bang Unico Sang Bleu II chronograph by tattoo artist Maxime Buchi.
The overall design and functions of Sang Bleu II are the same as the two existing models, but the color scheme for 2020 is matte blue, the same as the blue used by tattoo artists in their creations. This latest Sang Blue II chronograph is a bold (to say the least) combination of geometric size and volume, limited to gold king gold and titanium.

As tattoos are all the rage, Hublot decided to contact Maxime Buchi, the “it tattoo artist” of our time. As one of the most sought-after fashion tattoo artists, studios in Zurich and London and a design company called Sang Blue (dedicated to provide artistic design for the capsule collection of sunglasses, Nike and other brands) – Buchi is the embodiment of contemporary cool. .

Following the very successful (sold out) first edition of Sang Bleu in 2016, Hublot launched a powerful second edition in 2019 with chronograph functions and a more complex 3D dial. Just like the second-generation Big Bang Sang Bleu II model of the series has a black dial and black rubber strap, the 45mm case bristles of this new model have corners and angles, and look juxtaposed with endless geometric shapes.
Certain elements of the Big Bang case are made of titanium alloy and Hublot’s proprietary King Gold, succumbing to the geometry used by Buchi in his tattoos (look at the one on his head and you will see what we mean).
The bezel abandoned the usual circular shape, but used the classic 6 H-shaped titanium screw, which was hexagonal. Even the central metal lip extending from the case to the rubber strap has carved triangles to perpetuate the geometrically confusing shapes. These surfaces are alternately polished and satin-finished to enhance the geometry. The hollow dial performs countless layers of similar 3D geometric acrobatics, creating a strong sense of depth and complexity.
